An International Conference on Recent Advances in Chemical Sciences

Indian Chemical Society, Kolkata has conducted their 47th annual convention of chemists-2010 conducted in Pt.Ravishankarshukla University, Raipur, Chattisgarh from 23'Dec-27th Dec.
This conference mainly focused on the recent trends and advances in various fields of Chemistry Research & Developement i.e., Organic&Biochemistry, Environmental Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry and Inorganic etc,.

We have covered some beautiful locations in Chattisgarh and Bhadrachalm Like TheerthGadh, Chitrakot And Godavari river and Papikondalu etc.,
Though Chattisgarh state is a remote area it has excellent greenary, forest areas and villages like Dantewada
has their own imprint in tourists.Raipur, developing capital city of the state also have some interesting places like Nandanvan Park, Pt. Ravishankar shukla University etc,. It is also spreading slowlythe Complex Mall's culture by having shopping malls like Cental, RK Malls etc., but it has their own limits in the state as it had been considered as a sour grape to common people there (I Think).

Chitrakot, a beautiful waterfall which was also called the Nayagara of India has its own beauty and attraction but it seemed that there were no actions done to make it an attractive tourist area by the state Government of Chattisgarh.

Another Interesting thing is Chattisgarh's Cultural and Traditional values. They have their own experiments in Arts and Crafts and their tribal performances were excellent which were able to attract attention of tourists, particularly people from other countries. But there has nothing seemed to be the actions taken by the Government of Chattisgarh to encourage and improve the conditions to establish a state of art works for future purposes like the actions has been taking by Kerala Government to protect their old village cultures.

Actually we have planeed the tour to Raipur, which started form Secunderabd via Nagpur and we made return journey in a different way i.e., from Raipur to Jagadalpur and to Bhadrachalm followed to Hyderabad totally by Road transport facility by Chattisgarh Government. Our guide praised us for our return schedule but it is not that much simple as it sounds like. It was horrible to say our return journey experience in the night time. there was no transport facility by the Govt and it is entirely in the hands of Private travellers who showed us a nightmare. We engaged a Car of a private agency by offrering a big amount and it was startes late in the night around at 9:30 p.m. in the night to Bhadrachalam through a dense forest roadway.
Around at 1:30 a.m. as we have been doing journey in the car our driver suddenly stopped the car and feared to drive further, telling that there were no other vehicles traveling in the way and it is better to stay here-self in the car. It was very thrilling and some what fearful to spend that in the middle of forest way and some one told us that there were firings between Police and Maos in the last night. We have started again at 4:30 a.m. in the morning and we observed the road with a lot of Digs and holes (Kusuma area)made us to understand why driver declined to drive.
Then we made it to Bhadrachalam, famous for Lord Sri Rama Chandra's temple and for Papikondalu.
